The American dream as seen through the eyes of the american cinema

This class will allow a new aproach to understanding economic, social and political issues through the lensof the cinema.

In this class we will look at movies by Charlie Chaplin, John Ford or Frank Capra and analyse how these porray in different ways what is called " the american dream" , both its success and its failure !
