Just for fun and extra reading in English if you want - Selected short stories from Lydia Davis. They're funny/sarcastic/ironic... The longest one "French Lesson I" is actually a murder mystery wrapped up in a French lesson (Lydia Davis, though American, is a renowned French-English translator).

Hello all,
For this week we went over translation 2 from Lydia Davis. We will go over Homework 3 (Unferth translation "Unlikeable" found under Semaine 3) after the winter break. If you want some extra English reading over the break, I'm attaching a short story from Deb Unferth called "Voltaire Night"... wickedly sarcastic.

Our version second chance exam will take place on the 1st of June from 16h-17h in salle C003. You will be given a text to translate from English into French. The second chance exam is optional, and will replace your mark if higher.
